SMY Architecture provides a comprehensive architectural design service, from the initial consultation and feasibility discussions through to concept design, planning drawings and the preparation and submission of planning applications. Throughout the process, we aim to make architectural design and planning as clear, straightforward and stress-free as possible, guiding clients through each stage and ensuring they understand the decisions being made along the way.

Design is at the heart of our approach. We believe that a successful residential project should do more than simply add space. It should improve the way a home functions, enhance the experience of living within it and make the most of the opportunities presented by the existing property or site.

Careful consideration is given to space, natural light, circulation, proportions, materials, views, privacy and the relationship between internal and external spaces, creating designs that are both functional and aesthetically considered.

Our work covers a wide range of residential projects, including home extensions and renovations, loft conversions, internal remodelling, residential conversions, outbuildings and garden rooms, garage conversions and new-build homes.

For new-build and larger residential projects, SMY Architecture considers the relationship between the proposed building, its site and its surroundings from the outset.
